This project is not a house but rather a series of experiences where discoveries happen in between walls. As one moves forward through the spaces, walls are there for guidance. Starting at the bottom entrance, a driveway leads you to a piazza. Then, a subtle passage between two stone walls signals the entrance. As soon as you step foot inside, a planted courtyard provides natural ventilation for the open kitchen. Another passage between two walls hides the stairway to the upper floor. Here again, one reaches another planted courtyard, serving as an outdoor family room and acting as a barrier between the Master bedroom and the two other rooms. Constant contact with the outdoor is created by wide glazed facades, all created between two walls.
